Growing up in North Wales I finished high school with A*A*A*A in my A-Levels of Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry respectively. Afterwards I studied Physics at the University of Manchester, which included a year abroad at the University of California, Berkeley. I graduated with First Class Honours for my Masters in Physics.

Shortly after finishing, I travelled around South America in order to teach myself various languages (Spanish & Portuguese), and experience different cultures. Along the way I decided to start working for myself and began tutoring online, later specialising in the subjects which I offer now. I am currently working in both the education and research sectors.

My classes as a tutor vary depending on the student that I am teaching. I am able to work out the potential of a student quite quickly and pinpoint their strengths and weaknesses. Doing so enables me to focus more time on the weaknesses in class, and set suitable homework to test their strengths, maximising useful time spent in the lesson.

For longer or residential assignments I can also incorporate the role as a mentor for the student; giving guidance about career paths and future goals, playing sports together and planning other activities together. My interests vary quite a lot and this enables me to relate a lot of ‘real life scenarios’ into my classes, relating them to topics in the mathematics and science syllabus taught in schools.

I have given classes of different subjects to students of various abilities and ages, however I feel that the one-to-one sessions are more personal and beneficial for students. It was private tuition that brought out the best in me when I was starting my GCSEs. Something I am able to teach other than the material in the syllabus; is how to learn effectively and manage one’s time accordingly and increase productivity. This is especially useful when approaching times of examinations.

Some personal hobbies include travelling and learning languages, I have spent extended periods of time in foreign countries and picked up a few spoken languages along the way, mainly in Latin America. I can teach some of these languages to a certain extent. My other job is a researcher for climate science, I understand a lot about how atmospheric processes work and study the so called ''anthropocene'' that we are emerging into. This has led me to become a good programmer, learning a few coding languages and hence why I am able to provide tuition for computer science and general programming. I follow a few sports and I like to practice surfing, snowboarding, multi-day hiking and football. I grew up in North Wales, and have a love for both the mountains and the sea.
